Here is a video of Conor training, working on his wrestling grappling, before UFC 205, as he will need it, for used and defense, since his facing a wrestler.

But anyway, wrestling is as Celph said, has deep roots in MMA, one of the most important backgrounds you would need.

Word brah. I'm learning some Wrestling myself, which will come handy say in a competition match fight or even in a real fight, to take down the person down with wrestling and ground and pound from there.
I like Catch wrestling the "violent" art more than BJJ/ jiu jitsu the "gentle" art. Because you can learn and do more submissions. All those that I can't do in bjj I can do in Catch. In bjj you have to wait until a certain rank to start being tough leg foot locks and stuff. Which would help more if the earlier you start learning certain moved the better. If a bjj guy with 1 or 2 years faces a catch wrestler with 2 years, in catch wrestling, were u win by pin or submission or points (from takedowns), the catch wrestling have more ways and more submission options he can do.
