Trump Responds To Acosta Ruling; Sends Bold Warning If He “Misbehaves”

President Donald Trump has stated, in regards to CNN’s Jim Acosta being back in the White House, that “if he misbehaves, we’ll throw him out or we’ll stop the news conference.” Trump was speaking with Fox News‘ Chris Wallace about the situation in which U.S. District Judge Timothy J. Kelly ruled in favor of CNN and Jim Acosta. The ruling provided a temporary court order that requires Trump to allow Acosta back in the White House, but the main lawsuit is still in action.

Trump continued his conversation with the conversation on Acosta, saying “Yeah, its fine, I mean it’s not a big deal. What they said, though, is that we have to create rules and regulations for conduct etc. etc. We’re doing that, were going to write them up right now. It’s not a big deal and if he misbehaves, we’ll throw him out or we’ll stop the news conference.”

Wallace probed more, asking about the rules that Trump’s administration might put in place after the incident with Acosta.

Trump responded, “we’re writing them now. We’ll have rules of decorum, you know you can’t keep asking questions. We had a lot of reporters in that room, many many reporters in that room and they were unable to ask questions because this guy gets up and starts, you know, doing what he’s supposed to be doing for him and for CNN and you know just shouting out questions and making statements, too.”

Judge Kelly’s order that allows Jim Acosta access to the White House is good for 14 days. After that, CNN may petition for a permanent injunction.

CNN’s lawsuit against President Trump and several associates, including the Secret Service agent who confiscated Acosta’s ‘hard pass’ followed a heated exchange between Trump and Acosta. The CNN reporter and Trump discussed a question pertaining to a migrant caravan traveling from Central America to the American border at Mexico. Trump was no longer interested in speaking to Acosta, but Acosta would not stop speaking. A White House aide tried to retrieve the microphone from Acosta, but he gripped it with both hands and his arm made brief contact with the woman. A video of the incident went viral nearly instantly as it sparked debate about Acosta’s behavior and if he was unprofessional. Discourse about whether Acosta meant to make contact with the woman were also common over the last few days.

Acosta’s initial response, upon learning that he was granted the temporary pass, was that he was ready to get back to work. As he entered the White House briefing room today, he jokingly told those who welcomed him back to “get back to work.”

Trump’s administration might lay some new rules for news conference interactions. If no new rules are made, then the old ones might be given a refresher and reporters might be made aware of them in order to sustain a high quality and well-behaved environment where the news conferences can go as smooth as possible.

It should be noted that former President Barack Obama would chastise Fox News reporters from time to time.

‘People Have to Behave’: Donald Trump Demands Reporters ‘Practice Decorum’ at White House

    Excerpt:
“You have to act with respect. You’re in the White House, and when I see the way some of my people get treated at press conferences, that’s terrible,” Trump said, adding, “We always have the option of just leaving.”

The president said he supported “total freedom of the press” but added, “we have to practice decorum.”

“You can’t take three questions and four questions,” he said. “You can’t stand up and not sit down.”also threatened that he or his staff would leave press events entirely if reporters refused to act appropriately.

I was watching the 6pm news, on CBS, and the press was in the Oval Office while President Trump made his announcement that he finished writing his written answers to Mueller's written questions about Russian collusion. They'll be submitted some time next week.

Death of Trump Administration HHS official ruled a suicide, despite "multiple blunt force injuries".

Death of HHS official Daniel Best is ruled a suicide

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Nov. 1 death of Daniel Best, a pharmaceutical executive from Bay Village who led U.S. Department of Health and Human Services efforts to lower prescription drug prices, has been ruled a suicide, officials in Washington, D.C., said Thursday.

Police say Best was found “unresponsive” near the garage door exit of an apartment building in Washington, D.C.’s Navy Yard neighborhood at 5:25 a.m. on Nov. 1, and was pronounced dead by medical personnel who responded to the scene.

The city’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Thursday said Best died from “multiple blunt force injuries” and it ruled his death a suicide. It would not release further information.

In announcing his death, HHS Secretary Alex Azar said the 49-year-old former CVSHealth and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals executive agreed to work at HHS “out of a desire to serve the American people by making health care more affordable.”

“He brought his deep expertise and passion to this task with great humility and collegiality,” Azar’s statement said. “All of us who served with Dan at HHS and in the administration mourn his passing and extend our thoughts and prayers to his wife Lisa and the entire Best family at this difficult time.”

Best is survived by his wife, Lisa, and three children.

This sounds suspicious to me. How did he "blunt force" himself to death? This is the first death in the Trump Administration that I know of.

Donald Trump on Caravan Migrants: If They Hate Their Country, Why Are They Waving Their Flags?

President Donald Trump expressed skepticism on Saturday about the conditions of the migrants traveling with caravans through Mexico to get to the United States.

“They’re talking about all their great fear, all their problems with their country, but they’re all waving their country’s flag. What is that all about?” Trump commented about the caravans as he left the White House on Saturday to visit the wildfire devastation in California.

“If they have such fear, such problems, and they hate their country, why do we see all the flags being waved for Guatemala or Honduras or El Salvador?”

“This has nothing to do with asylum; this has to do with getting into our country illegally,” he said.

Trump again stated that “catch and release” for migrants claiming asylum, who then fail to return for their court hearings is over.

“They think they’re going to be released into our country like in the old days. … We’re not releasing. They don’t get released,” Trump said.

Trump also said he would keep the thousands of troops at the southern Border “as long as necessary” to help protect the country, and he praised the troops for building and manning barbed wire fences on the border.

The president expressed openness to immigration into the United States but only if it is legal.

“We have millions of people in line to get into our country legally,” he said. “Those people have preference.”

The Daily Caller get another exclusive interview with President Trump.
It Was A Normal Morning Until We Got The Notification. 45 Minutes Later, We Were Sitting In Front Of Trump Himself
“What were you guys doing in there?” a fellow correspondent asked as we left the White House. I gave a mischievous smile and said “oh you know, just the usual” and hurried away to write to my stories.

Trump Suggests Turning Journalists’ Cameras Off In White House Press Briefings
President Donald Trump suggested he may order cameras facing journalists during press briefings turned off in order to mitigate an incentive to showboat, during an interview on “Fox News Sunday” with Chris Wallace.

“I think one of the things we’ll do is maybe turn the camera off that faces them because then they don’t have any air time, although I’ll probably be sued for that and maybe, you know, win or lose it, who knows,” Trump said, adding “I mean, with this stuff you never know what’s going to happen.”

Trump’s answer followed a loss for his administration in court against CNN after the White House barred reporter Jim Acosta from the grounds for unruly behavior during a presidential press conference. Acosta refused to surrender his microphone to an intern during a verbal confrontation with the president.

A Judge ruled that the White House did not provide due process in revoking Acosta’s press pass, but noted he did not rule on the First Amendment merits of the case. Trump suggested further in the interview that if Acosta and other journalists do not comport themselves properly he will go back to court and prosecute the case to its fullest extent or simply just end the press conference early.

The White House Christmas tree arrived Monday at the White House

The arrival of the official White House Christmas tree is a tradition that goes back over 100 years. Typically, the first lady welcomes the tree to the White House under the North Portico. The tree is delivered by horse-drawn carriage by a man in a top hat, and the first lady receives it.

The Marine band played holiday music as both Melania and Donald Trump greeted the carriage drawing the tree to the White House. There were journalists and friends of the Trump family in the audience.

Trump and Melania held hands as they walked around the tree and greeted spectators and posed for photographs.

I'm usually against non-Scottish descended people wearing plaid/tartan but Melania's husband is half Scottish so it's okay.
I noticed Melania is wearing Louboutin boots.

edit: I just remembered Irish people can also wear plaid/tartans.

I think the tree looks small, for a White House tree, but it'll look better when it's up and decorated.
