I am assembling a new system for around $1,500USD.

What CPU you would recommend ? Intel i5-7600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600. Both cost around the same. : http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare...600/3885vs3919

If you have any self-respect, you always buy AMD.

I've grown out of following or disliking a particular brand , phone, cpu, os. My nephew told me to check out new AMD Ryzen 5 saying it's better at multi-threading and multi-tasking than Intel i5 for the same price.

That's very childish of you. Adults boycott certain brands that have a long history of screwing its customers over.

I'm sure it is, Ryzen is great stuff.

I'll be buying Ryzen 1950X in a couple of years, like 2-3 years from now. I bought AMD FX-8350 back in December, though I haven't started using it yet.

Running in multicore mode is pretty much software dependent, until one loads each core separately by single tasks.

    Three simple facts about Finns:
    1. Baltic Finnic languages (including Finnish) never came from the Volga basin along with ancestors of present-day Finns.
    2. Finnish I1 (around 30% of all Finns) has Germanic roots from the late Bronze Age or the early Iron Age.
    3. As to the Finnish prehistory we have no evidences about any Iron Age (or later) east-to-west migration, but many unquestionable evidences about west-to-east migrations.

That's what nephew wrote and I believe him.

Multi-core performance of AMD is better (affects multi-threaded applications
    and multi-tasking).

Multi-threading is application dependent, while multi-tasking affects running several applications at once.

At that price I think the Ryzen 7 1700 has the best value.
The 5 is more midrange IMO and 1500 is not a mid range price point.

    Check out some builds here.

German Ebay offers for Ryzen 1700 are from 900 euros with minimum configuration. My configuration would be 64 GB memory, SSD system, two 4 TB hard disks and a basic level graphic card . I don't yet know about mother boards. Any recommendations?

    edit

I also need upgrading to a pipe cooling system, because bundle systems have always bad cooling devices.
