Question is, what is less dangerous for individuals?
Totalitarian god-state or a God-Father "ideal" somewhere in heaven?

As I am a newbie into Jordan Peterson/ Ben Shapiro and such stuff, I am not going to cite them, but Peterson makes lots of good points, on his biblical lectures, while actively withdrawing himself from criticizing religion*.

*It is all deeply misanthropic and seems like herder tending to his herd by cautiously balancing logic and metaphysics for best effects, still this is the framework in which we, atheists, thrive. Let's not burn the house we're living in, it's the best house we have so far. We can just help repairing it where it fails.
Im for total freedom to believe in a higher power, in fact Im personally deeply agnostic myself, but I'm against any "traditional" religions, books, churches, mosques, synagogues and other similar places. I believe that organized religion puts all kinds of limitations on the society, indoctrinates the youth and turns the society into a weaker, susceptible for dictatorships one's and so on.

I also think that the best standard of life in the modern world is found in areas which are nearly free of religion, like some parts of the eastern/western coasts in the US, some West European countries and so on.

Church and state were intimately related in this not unimpressive nation:

    http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/...re-in-history/

'The Roman Empire is considered to have been the most enduring in history. The formal start date of the empire remains the subject of debate, but most historians agree that the clock began ticking in 27 BC, when the Roman politician Octavian overthrew the Roman Republic to become Emperor Augustus. Although Rome later fell to the Germanic “Barbarians” in AD 476, the ensuing “Eastern Empire” based at Constantinople is widely regarded as a continuation of the original Roman one. It wasn’t until the fall of the city in AD 1453 that the curtain finally came down on the empire, ending a period of dominance across Europe and beyond that had lasted for almost 1,500 years...'

Chinese are returning to their Confucian Buddhist core, and Abrahamism as the subversive order in the east is being kept in its place. India should emulate.

Nestorians were in China during the Tang Dynasty, mid-7th century or so. It's not like Christianity is a new hat in the Middle Kingdom.

Meh you know I know we all know these Christians in China aren't Nestorian but rather international arms of Western deep state via protestant evangelicalism etc like Joshua project. When we talk of Christianity in context of China, some insignificant micro minority trader community like Nestorian should be understood as not what one is talking of. Similarly for India, if India clamped down on Christianity, we're not talking about St Thomas Christians. In Africa also there's a difference between the Ethiopian orthodoxy as opposed to what is European missionary efforts.

Good, good, just seeing if anyone else was paying attention. Nestorian merchants or Matteo Ricci these are not.

China forbids Christmas decorations as Xi Jinping ramps up war against religion and foreign culture

The latest regulations on Christmas decorations appear not to be a mandate from China's central government, but a response by local governments against the Communist Party's burgeoning war against religion and foreign culture.

Christmas isn't a public holiday in China, but many businesses use it to encourage people to go shopping. Here, a woman dressed in a Santa Claus costume takes a selfie in Beijing on December 23, 2017. Jason Lee/Reuters

Workers at a 27-story shopping and office complex in Nanyang, a city in southwestern China, dismantled their Christmas trees, lights and bells within 24 hours of government officials telling them to take down the decorations, the AP said.

The government in Hengyang, a nearby city, said in a social media notice that anyone caught holding Christmas sales or celebrations that blocked streets would be punished, the news agency added.

And in Panlong district, southern China, police circulated a notice to hotels, bars, and internet cafes that said: "It is forbidden to hang Christmas stockings, wear Christmas hats, place Christmas trees, and so on."

However, some major cities like Beijing and Shanghai are still putting up Christmas decorations, the AP noted.

Authorities have reportedly burned bibles, shut down churches, and ordered people to renounce their faith. Here, an underground Catholic church in Jiexi county, China, in March 2018. Andy Wong/AP

China is estimated to hold one of the world's largest Christian populations with more than 100 million observing the religion.

China is perfectly entitled to preserve its ancient culture.

    Exactly.
I agree if its by promoting its ancient culture. I wouldn't personally support totalitarian type action to enforce it though. That only breeds contempt anyway.

Lol. People here happy? And enjoy time with others? Not likely for most.
