    Default Persian Otomi updated 23andme

Hello guys, here are my updated results

    1. It was interesting to see that they pinpoint my Iberian ancestry to Portugal, from what I have read online, this feature indicates recent ancestry. I however do not have recent ancestry from there, my most recent Iberian ancestor is a Spanish man from Asturias. While the Portuguese ancestry that I have is very colonial. This new feature made no sense and didn't match my genealogy.

    2. It was able to verify my French roots, even at a very small percentage (very cool)

    3. It wasn't able to match me to Italy but it might be because my Italian ancestry is very colonial and not recent

    4. The Balkan and Sardinian might come from the Italian side? I am not sure or the Balkan might come from my Persian side, I will need to verify this soon

    5. I already knew about my Jewish roots, this comes from my Mexican side

    6. It was sad to see my Native American being so low, the Otomi tribe is where my indigenous lineage comes from and I take great pride having Otomi roots.

    7. South Asian might come from my Iranian side, I'm not really surprise by this

Are you half Iranian and half white Mexican? Your Mexican parent must be over 85% European which is definitely white by Latin American standards (and by mine as well). Where in Iran are you from? What is your branch of R1a?

My Iranian family is from Tehran and Karaj
I am not sure about my branch, I would like to know more about it. I was thinking getting a Ydna test on Family tree DNA

Have you tried GEDmatch? I'd like to see your Eurogenes, Harappa and MDLP World results.

That's just Eurogenes K15. I don't particularly like that one.

It's the best one, because it's easy to plot yourself on a PCA without any special software.
