Default mtDNA haplogroup L2/L2a certainly debunks the notion that...

Africans from the various regions in Africa, from North, SSA-West, SSA-East, and Southeast etc, have nothing to do with one another. Its so widespread that its origin cannot be pinned down and its old too, so no one can use the slave trade as the sole explanation. Like the PN2 clade on the Y chromosome its really that deep and old. Can anyone explain why its so widespread?

L2 subclades are regionally distinguished, just like all the other L lineages. Still making Africans different from each other regardless.

So it still cannot be used for Pan-Africanism.

Likewise for PN2.. each region has their own versions and not all PN2 subclades are native to specific regions of Africa.

A proportion of 1/4 to 1/2 of North African female pool is made of typical sub-Saharan lineages, in higher frequencies as geographic proximity to sub-Saharan Africa increases. The Sahara was a strong geographical barrier against gene flow, at least since 5,000 years ago, when desertification affected a larger region, but the Arab trans-Saharan slave trade could have facilitate enormously this migration of lineages." "The interpolation analyses and complete sequencing of present mtDNA sub-Saharan lineages observed in North Africa support the genetic impact of recent trans-Saharan migrations, namely the slave trade initiated by the Arab conquest of North Africa in the seventh century. Sub-Saharan people did not leave traces in the North African maternal gene pool for the time of its settlement, some 40,000 years ago.

It is described as a pan-African lineage period, and those mutations do not represent separate people like L2a1 for example, thats not restricted to just one people you idiot

L2a1 was originally not pan-African, but was spread by Bantus to Southern Africa and by Nilote admixed Cushites to the Horn.

The San Bushmen lacked it, so did the Central African Pygmies, and Eastern hunter-gatherers.

So dod Bantus spread L2a1 to Luxmada, PPN Tell Halula and to North Africa? Did Bantus spread it to the Hausa, Fulbe, and Mandinka

I said Nilotes spread it to Cushites. Do you have issues reading. There are Nilote versions of L2a and there are Bantu versions of L2a.

As for how North Africans and the PPN got it, likely from the Green Sahara. Prior to it, it did not exist there.

L2a1 = Paleolithic Central African lineage that became widespread post-Neolithic. It is not a Paleo-era pan-African lineage.

Backtracking are you? You said Bantus primarily, why don't you post evidence?
