    Default Who invented sun worship?

It makes sense to worship the sun in Europe because you're just grateful whenever it decides to show up.

It makes less sense to worship the sun in Africa where it's a constant and an oppressive force that you try to hide from.

I would guess the egyptians but it is so primitive it could go back to pre-recorded history.

I think some form of sun worship was practiced everywhere at some point, it wasn't "invented" by a particular culture.

In our solar system, probably some carbon-based lifeform. They all love the sun for some reason.

The oldest Egyptian DNA we have so far:

The Sun is contingent, therefor only worthy of admiration, not worship. Only The Unconditioned is worthy of worship.

I think some kind of sun worship was once a thing in AFG too(as people say here, it was a thing everywhere).
Some little reading about it(in case anyone is interested):

That clip came to mind when I read the title of this thread.

The Aztec savages used to sacrifice people for the sun. When the Aztecs sacrificed people to Huitzilopochtli (the god with warlike aspects) the victim would be placed on a sacrificial stone. The priest would then cut through the abdomen with an obsidian or flint blade. The heart would be torn out still beating and held towards the sky in honor to the Sun-God.
