Johan Guzman is from San Juan de la Maguana in the South too and plays for the Real Avila in Spain.

Fran Nunez plays for the Penya Deportiva in Spain (he was born there but both of his parents are Dominican).

Apparently Mariano Diaz is only half Dominican born in Madrid and dad from Spain. My bad.

Here is he with his parents btw:

^^ I guess his mom's genes are pretty strong because he looks at least 50% SSA.

Sammy Sosa was indeed the greatest Latino icon in USA sports despite of the scandals and all. Here I'm posting that memorable moment of 9/11.

It sucks how people quickly forget about certain icons. I am sure people will appreciate him more once he dies. It happened to Michael Jackson.

Never saw this movie until now. Interesting...

    In popular culture.

I think the way they depicted San Pedro/Consuelo in those cartoons is accurate. Even the houses look alike. I imagine the cartoonists traveled to the DR and that's how they got it?

ps. Here is Sammy Sosa's village town, Consuelo. The whole municipality has about 60,000 inhabitants according to wikipedia but the town has probably less than that. @MIN 1:19 and 2:03 you can see native children dancing.
