Default Japan - It's not funny anymore

So, I've been surfing the net looking for some news about the gaming industry when I suddenly stumbled upon a humongous, curious article (it's more of a rant really ) about why one of the main editors of Kotaku started to grow tired with his current place of residence, Tokyo - Japan. Personally, I found this article very insightful about the Japan and so decided to share it with my fellow ABFers.

    Enjoy: http://kotaku.com/5484581/japan-its-not-funny-anymore

Typical whiney Anglo with that absurd Anglo sense of entitlement. What does he want exactly, for an entire country to adapt to whatever makes him comfortable? What an idiot.

But others expect that of the Anglosphere. Compare one Anglo bitching in a non-Anglo country to the thousands of non-Anglo's completely usurping traditional Anglo society in England. This guy doesn't seem all that bad in comparison, and it's not like any of his rants are becoming law or protocol for companies, unlike what happens in the Anglosphere, an immigrant whimpers in England and his/her complaint is dealt with at the expense of the actual English people.

Let's not forget government ministers in the UK supporting Sharia law being applied in England for Muslim immigrants.

    I found these hilarious:

    http://sheikyermami.com/2009/04/26/fly-burka-airlines/

In this one an Anglo flight attendant is sacked because she refuses to wear a burqa. She's an Anglo, why should she have to wear a non-Anglo piece of clothing if she doesn't want to?

Then this one is very hilarious, regarding KFC and the new halal menu.

    This quote rings true:

"The problem is not that Muslims want to live according to the dictates of Sharia. The problem is that everyone else has to as well."

I lived in a mixed Italian-Jewish neighborhood in NYC.

The Orthodox Jews refused to patronize any restaurant that was open after sunset on Friday and before sunset on Saturday. As a result, nearly all of the restaurants decided to close for the Jewish sabbath. Like you said, some religious groups are intolerant of others and try to force their way on everyone.

I found the article hilarious, entertaining, and exceptionally well written. I know next to nothing about Japanese culture, so I will leave it to others to agree or disagree with the actual points he made.

However, I don't think it was meant to be an objective analysis of Japanese culture, but rather what it was -- a rant. Anyone who has visited or lived in a foreign country whose culture differs greatly from one's own has surely experienced moments of frustration with some elements of the culture that you just don't think make sense at all. I don't think there is anything wrong with voicing out your opinions like this, especially when it is as entertaining as this, and when it is not done with a malicious intent.

    I enjoyed it.

I bet every single one of you righteous types would get just as annoyed at overdoses of this level of cultural acclimatization. I'm annoyed and I've never even been there...I personally can't stand loud people and asian culture like this would get old fast.

Personally, I have a low tolerance for "traditions" and other stupid rules to interactions among adults...there are enough rules to life.
