What about French/Occitan? The latter is supposedly very similar to Catalan.

It's supposedly very similar to Catalan, but only its Southern dialects.

http://prosodia.upf.edu/atlasintonacion/mapa.html (click on a dot to get examples of spoken Occitan)

I speak more or less like the elderly people in the video: http://prosodia.upf.edu/atlesentonac...neu/index.html

It's hard to say about Occitan, it lacks a standard, so you can't have an absolute reference, but percentages would range from 20% (northernmost spoken occitan) to 95% (Southern written Occitan). As for French, I think it would be 5% to 90%. I don't speak Occitan/French at all.

The Russian and Estonian percentages are the few words and expressions I learnt before going to Russia and Estonia, respectively, on holiday.

EDIT: I can only speak Catalan, Spanish and a little English.

So you read and write English very well, but you can't speak it? I don't encounter that very much. Kudos, your comprehension is exceptional.

Sicilian also lacks a standard because Italy is much like France, they try to kill regional languages to promote the government-sponsored language. For some reason the Sardinians were able to protect their language, but we have not had the same luck, nor have the Occitans and other minorities in France.

English and Welsh are my main languages, can converse in French but not very confident these days. Can read Cyrillic script but have no idea what it means.

We have a bunch of language buffs in this thread, as for me, I speak, read, and write the following:

    - Assyrian
    - Arabic
    - English

I used to also speak Turkish around 15 years ago but unfortunately, I forgot most of it.
